Listen in as we walk towards simple, intentional living together and create a life we’re excited to wake up to each morning.
I’m the naturally-messy toddler-mom walking towards simple with you each week.
Minimalism quite literally changed my life. Through minimalism, my husband and I up and moved states without jobs & downsized our home because we realized we get to choose the type of life we want to live.
We started a podcast on minimalism together last fall called “The Minimalist Family Podcast,” but my husband’s work schedule made this a little too much for us. As I started to host on my own, I actually almost burnt out of minimalism completely.
Sure, simplifying my possessions and my life helped me calm my anxieties, be a more joyful mom, and create a life I was excited to be living each day. But social media made minimalism feel like a comparison game. It felt like it was all about decluttering and how little stuff you could own. The person with the least stuff wins!
But then I dug deeper and realized minimalism isn’t just about a tidy home and throwing all your stuff away. It’s about space. Space in your home but also space in your life. Space to breathe. Space to enjoy your people. Space to learn who you are and what you love. Space to actually do what you’ve been wanting to do.
So “minimal-ish” was born as a project in walking towards the version of grace-filled minimalism & intentional living that makes sense in my own life and encouraging you to do the same, week after week.
