reading is a great way to create space in our days for rest + learning

let’s read together!

We'll read one book together every two months. Why one every two months? Because less is more, friend! I love reading, but I know we're all busy, and I want to make this doable!

Plus, sometimes when we're constantly consuming content, we don't get a chance to sift through, take what applies to our values and beliefs, and apply that to our lives. That's what we'll be doing here!

Here’s what that looks like:

Month 1: We'll read the book and discuss. You'll get applicable discussion questions to help you dive deeper, and we'll have a live video group chat "book club meeting" session, plus weekly discussion threads for takeaways and deeper learning (and accountability to actually read!)

Month 2: Deeper dive. We'll do a challenge together that goes along with the book. Keep reading if you're still reading! We'll have author interviews when possible (not guaranteed, but I'll do as much as I can to make it happen!) And we'll do another live chat together about the challenge and the book.

In March: We’re working on a slow living challenge based on Erin Loechner’s book (which we read together in February) Chasing Slow. You can join whether you read or not!

In the minimal-ish book club, we'll most often approach books that are non-fiction with personal development aspects and revolve around the subject of intentional living in some way.

What you're getting each month as a book club member?

-PDF printable discussion guide/ challenge guide (depending on month)
-A live "book club meeting" that will be recorded
-Weekly discussion threads plus a space to discuss the book together in general, share takeaways, and learn from likeminded friends pursuing intentional living.
-A secret podcast episode based on the book/ challenge each month (secret because it's only available to book club members!)

So, how does this work?!

The book club is held via Patreon (a crowdfunding platform that has a super user friendly community platform where we can do our book chat threads) + membership is less than one fancy coffee at Starbucks. You get all that is listed above, and membership helps cover costs of hosting the online video chat + helps support Minimal-ish in a small way (thank you!!!) I hope you’ll join us!
